IPG — CPSIA Regulations
Although books are largely in the clear at this point (the CPSC has stated that it will “not impose penalties against anyone for making, importing, distributing or selling” a list of specified products, including “an ordinary children’s book printed after 1985”), many retailers are still requiring compliance information from book vendors. Since Independent Publishers Group is a distributor and not a publisher or manufacturer, we must gather this information from client publishers of children's books. We are in the process of doing this; certificates of compliance and testing information arrives daily from publishers.

This is public information; please direct concerned retailers to this area of IPG's website so they may check on specific titles. This information is updated regularly. If printed, the list is more than 20 pages with more titles being added daily. Please discourage retailers from requesting actual compliance certificates and/or test results, as this is very time consuming and largely unnecessary at this point.
